Short theoretical footing:

1. Trademark (tradename / logo) – an image belonging to a person (legal or natural) and being a way to identify products (goods, works, services) of such person from other person’s products. Trademark may consist of pictures, word and both of mentioned. Trademark secures only those classes of products for which it was registered and covers them accordingly. Theoretically, third persons can use such trademark in other classes, unless it hurts image and good name of the trademark’s owner.

2. Class for goods and services – a mode to separate one goods and services from others. There are many classes (about 50), including quite many goods and services each. A search for classes suitable for you is holding on the basis of goods and services listed by you. There are seldom more than 3-4 of them. You shall approve the list of classes for trademark registration after the search took place. Procedure of definition whether there are similar or analogue trademarks among already registered in same classes is also included in the search process.

Wordy or figurative mark, 1 class: 500 UAH

For the next classes : 100 UAH each

Combined mark, 1 class: 1000 UAH

For the next classes : 200 UAH each

For 5-days search : 200 % of the sum above.

EXAMINATION

Calculation of 6-9-months examination carrying out for certificate granting

Wordy or figurative mark, 1 class: 1560 UAH

For the next classes : 190 UAH each

Combined mark, 1 class: 2760 UAH

For the next classes : 290 UAH each

Calculation of under-6-months examination carrying out: 185 % of the sum above.

State tax for application presenting (without VAT)

Application presenting by one applicant, 1 class: 1000 UAH

For the next classes : 1000 UAH each

In addition for application presenting for coloured trademark image : 500 UAH

Application presenting by more than one applicant: 130 % of the sum above.

All sums are indicated without VAT (20%) : it is necessary to add VAT to any sum of the abovementioned

State tax for certificate granting : $ 200 (payment must be done in US Dollars)

Tax for publication of information on certificate granting.

For black-and-white image: 150 UAH for each class.

In addition for coloured image publication: 100 UAH

Patent agent’s remuneration

Shall be paid to the account of natural person-entrepreneur, as patent agent is a person with special education and diploma, which should be independent, as notary, for example. The abovementioned person is the patent agent of “Universal-Lex” law firm.

1.Search application and analysis of search report: 800 UAH (up to 3 classes) + 50 UAH for each class over

2.For rapid examination: + 50 % of the abovementioned sum.

3.Application execution and presenting as well as its control until certificate receive: 3000 UAH (up to 3 classes) For each class over 3600 UAH
